Koshi Wind Chimes
The ‘Koshi’ Wind Chime is an authentic musical instrument, an original creation of high quality. Hand made at the foot of the Pyrenees mountains, each chime is the result of meticulous craftsmanship.
Koshi chimes are precision tuned wind chimes and come in four tunings. Each has a specific magic timbre and can be played harmoniously with all others. The resonance tube consists of bamboo veneer treated with natural oil.

How Koshi Wind Chimes are made
The Koshi chimes resonance tube is made from bamboo veneer as it is much stronger than the natural bamboo. Being made with thin layers of bamboo produces a very high acoustic quality. Also, a new tuning technique has been developed to give the sound even more depth and enrich the harmonics.
Eight notes (metal rods) are welded with silver to a base plate inside the resonance tube. Precisely tuned, the notes combine and create a dance of clear tones that is rich in overtones. The overtones of the shorter notes (rods) eventually dominate and become the fundamentals, thereby forming a circular tonal range.

Koshi Care
The Koshi chimes are good for outdoors use. However, its recommended they are placed in an area protected from the harsher elements (strong wind and rain) and like all wooden objects, they must be regularly treated with a protective oil. View Koshi Care Instructions
The sound of the chimes is wonderful for children. But for safety reasons they should be kept out of reach of children aged three and under.
The inventor of the Koshi Chime is Kabir, an artist and musician from Europe. From many years of experimenting, he has learnt how to make wind chimes that are beautiful aesthetically and melodically. He has developed the Koshi chime, with different materials, a new design and melodies unlike any other chime you have heard before.
