Also known as a Gangokui Double Bell, these African cow-bells are a traditional Ewe instrument and hold a vital timekeeping role in ensemble music.

Forged and hand-beaten from iron, agogo feature a larger low-pitched barrel (the parent bell) and a smaller high-pitched barrel (the child bell, said to rest on the bosom of the protective parent). When mastered, this bell produces a range of interesting sounds including buoyant pitch bends.
Agogo hold a vital role in ensemble music as a time keeper. Popular with musicians, facilitators and schools.
