The Koshi chime is a high-quality, authentic instrument carefully handmade at the foot of the Pyrenees mountains in France. All instruments are precisely tuned to last a lifetime resulting in clear tones rich in overtones.

Inspired by the elements
Each Koshi wind chime is inspired by one of four elements: Earth, Water, Air or Fire. When all four elements are balanced, they create a harmonious symphony, encouraging balance in our bodies and minds.
Terra (Earth): Symbolises stability, groundedness, fertility, materiality, potential and stillness
Aqua (Water): Symbolises gentle-yet-powerful, formless and flowing energies
Aria (Air): Symbolises the breath of life, freedom, the unseen, intelligence and creativity
Ignis (Fire): Symbolises illumination, passion, intensity, transformation, creation, renewal and the mythical phoenix rising from the ashes

How are Koshi Wind Chimes created?
Koshi wind chimes are expertly crafted in an artisan workshop at the foot of the Pyrenean Mountains in France. Bamboo veneer is used to create the Koshi chime resonance tube as it is more durable than natural bamboo. The thin layers of bamboo produce high acoustic quality. A new tuning technique has enhanced the sound’s depth and enriched the harmonics.
While being crafted, eight metal rods are welded into the metal plate at the bottom of the tube. Due to its precise tuning, the notes combine to form a dance of clear tones rich in overtones. Eventually, the shorter notes’ overtones become the dominant notes, creating a circular range of tones.

Do my Koshi wind chimes require tuning?
You don’t need to tune your Koshi wind chime. Your instrument will maintain its tune throughout its lifespan, provided you care for it.
